Description
The Chessie Railroad was a combination of the former Baltimore & Ohio, Chesapeake & Ohio, and Western Maryland railroads. It later merged with the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad to form CSX Transportation.
For auction is an unused "Switch List" from the Chessie, dated May 1973. This was the form that was used in yards and on trains to order the freight cars that would be switched. The form provides spaces for the Car Initial, Car Number, Destination, Track and other necessary information.
The form measures appx 11x4 inches, is printed on very thin paperstock, and is in excellent condition, with no rips or tears, no writing or markings, no spills or smears. It has been folded in half to facilitate shipping.
A nice collectible for Chessie, C&O, B&O and WMd railfans.
