What's in this lot: I'm no expert in this collecting area - I'm a stamp collector and seller. That said, what we have appears to be a letter of contract for 2000 (florins or gludens?) written in 1803 and due and payable in 1805 for 2500 (again, florins or gludens?). I can read some early script in English and German but cannot state what this letter actually involves. What is nice is that the wax seal is in perfect condition. The letter is on heavy paper, it shows the usual foxing around edges and there is one paper fault at top which can be seen on scan. The document is still a very fine piece for the collector.

THE NOTEPAD: There are some web sites dealing with wax seals (mostly English types - 19th century Indenture on Parchment/Wills with wax seals etc.) and a book or two on the subject. This is only the third time I've opened this document and did so only for scanning.

Insurance is extra if not included with the Cert/Reg option and international shipments require current postal rates via registered return receipt for delivery (outside US usually just registers at local PO.
