ORIGINAL 1982 CAROL DIXON (b 1935) 'REEMERGENCE OF MONET'S GARDEN' MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE PAINTING 

This is a wonderful original.  Fresh from a New Jersey estate, this is one of a pair of early works I acquired by important Contemporary artist Carol Dixon.  For those not familiar with the artist, I have included her biography below.  If you like or collect the artist's work, check my store for the other example I am selling by the artist.  This is a stunning mixed media of collage, lithography, and painting.  The base image I believe is a lithograph of the front door of Monet's home at his garden in Giverny.  Then there are added elements of collage and then over painted with wonderful colors of his garden.  All on a black background that really makes the work pop.  Signed and dated in pencil lower right on the black backing.  Image measures about 7 x 5 3/4 inches.  Matted over with the title in pencil lower left.  Really a beautiful presentation of this fine work.  Frame measures 14 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches.  If you collect the artist, check my store for the other example I have by the artist.  A great chance to add to your collection.  FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES - EVEN IF YOU BUY BOTH OF HER WORKS!

For those not familiar with the artist, her biography from artnet reads: "Carol Nipomnich Dixon is a contemporary American mixed media artist. Dixon best known for her abstract, vividly colored and textured embroidered collages, which often incorporate found objects, fabrics, papers, or photo fragments with traditional stitchery. Born in 1935, she received a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.A. from Columbia University. She has studied at Pratt Institute, and the Brooklyn Museum Art School. Dixon’s works are in the collections of American Brands, Continental Forrest Industries, Dictaphone, Pitney Bowes, F.D. Rich Corp. and the Dowling Group. Her studio and residence are in Old Greenwich, CT. "
