Aluminum adapters are a nice upgrade from brass adapters and feature a longer length for use in shallow
applications when the mechanical temperature gauge probe may contact the inside of a cylinder head or
intake manifold. Extra length of fitting will still allow end of probe to protrude into the coolant for accurate
readings.
