Forests are colored in green, and canals are printed in red. Thewealth of detail included in this map is really surprising. It names topographicalfeatures such as mountains, rivers, lakes, etc., as well as cities, towns,railroads, townships and ranges, etc. Native American tribes and IndianReservations are identified throughout the map. The map is accompanied by ashort report by the Department of Agriculture about the importance of documentingthe extent of forested areas in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Condition: Very good, color lithographed foldedmap printed on sturdy, supple paper, lightly age toned, a 2 inch tear at stub repairedand unintrusive. This very attractive map would frame very well.
