It features two 9-pin male connectors that enable you to connect a 9 pin FireWire (1394b) device (such as your Scanner, Printer, Hard drive, DV camcorders, etc) to a 9-pin FireWire 800 (1394b) port on a PC Mac or Laptop.
The FW99 meets all FireWire 800 and 1394b specifications, it is compatible by a test with systems and devices and is fully compatible with PC, Mac, SUN, Apple FireWire, Sony iLink, and all other IEEE-1394b peripherals. Provides data transfer rates up to 800 Mbps. Connects speed-critical audio/visual peripherals and multimedia devices to your computer.
It is designed to deliver data perfectly between your IEEE-1394b devices, with triple shielded twisted-pair construction to reduce EMI/RFI interference and virtually eliminate crosstalk, protected by a sturdy black outer jacket. Molded-strain relief and PVC over-molding.
Constructed with corrosion-resistant, nickel-plated connectors for optimal signal clarity. Oxidation resistance protects your devices and adapters from damage.
