SYNOPSIS:
Iori Kitahara moves to the coastal town of Izu to start his first year at university, where he takes up residence above Grand Blue, his uncle’s scuba diving shop. Hoping for a fun and fulfilling college life, Iori is instead swept up in the wild drinking culture of the Diving Club that hangs out at the shop. Encouraged by seniors Shinji Tokita and Ryuujirou Kotobuki, he reluctantly joins their outrageous festivities. His cousin, Chisa Kotegawa, later walks in on him mid-party, leaving her with a poor impression of him.
Based on the popular comedy manga by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, Grand Blue follows Iori’s unpredictable college journey as he gets caught up in absurd adventures with his quirky new friends, all while learning the ropes of scuba diving and chasing his ideal university life.
