Here's a chance to own a piece of Olympic history!

This is a framed set of limited edition spoons

commemorating the 1988 Seoul Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIV Olympiad, a stamp and coin set, and an ornament from Seoul National University.

Spoon Set

The spoons are made of antique brass and measure 5"H. The first spoon features the emblem of the South Korean team - a traditional Korean design called a samtaeguk pattern - above the Olympic rings. The second and third spoon feature the mascot for the games - a stylized Amur tiger named Hodori.

The spoon set is in its original packaging. The box measures 12.5"H x 7"W x 1.5"D and weighs 1.5 lbs.

Stamp and Coin Set

The coin is one of several commemorative coins featuring different sports and themes issued by the Bank of Korea. It is a 1000 won and features a tennis player. Made of copper-nickel, the estimated melt value of the silver content is approximately $30.16 as of April 7, 2025.

Korea Post issued the two 70+30 won stamps in 1985 as part of the build-up to the 1988 games.

It measures 5"L x 3"H x .5"D and weighs .25 lbs.

Ornament

The ornament is from Seoul National University, a prestigious university that ranks highly in global university rankings. The school emblem is displayed on top of a round wooden piece followed by a traditional Korean knot and  tassel. It comes with its original 4.5" square blue velvet display box.

The ornament measures 3" in diameter and 11.5" in length with the tassle. Both the ornament and display box weigh .75 lbs.
