Pterostilbene is an active constituent found in grapes, blueberries, and a variety of hardwoods, belonging to a group of phytochemicals known as stilbenes. It is a more potent and stable analog of resveratrol and is also better absorbed by the body. Pterostilbene improves skin texture and tone, serving as a potent antioxidant. Additionally, it possesses anti-fungal properties that are five to ten times stronger than those of resveratrol. This makes it a valuable addition to sun care and after-sun care formulations.
