i think these were originally silver but have been polished and are now grey, there are signs of the silver finish around the polls which i have tried to show in the photo, this could be polished off fully by taking them apart.
I put some rubber pads on the top of them to cushion the speakers, one pad is missing but these can replaced or removed completely
