An incorrect intake air temperature signal may contribute to:

• Check engine light
• Difficult starting
• Rough idle or hesitation
• Reduced fuel economy

These symptoms can also result from wiring faults or other engine conditions. Diagnose before replacing the sensor.

🔵 © INSTALLATION GUIDELINES

1. Switch the ignition off and allow the engine to cool.

2. Locate the sensor using the service information for your engine.

3. Release the electrical connector carefully.

4. Remove the sensor using the correct tool on its hexagonal section.

5. Install the replacement according to the vehicle manufacturer’s procedure. Avoid overtightening and do not add sealant unless specified.

6. Reconnect the electrical connector securely.

7. Check intake air temperature readings with a scan tool and verify proper operation.

Do not touch or damage the exposed sensing element.
