Vintage Menu
Hotel William Penn
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
~ May 25, 1939 ~

This lovely and historic menu from the Hotel William Penn in downtown Pittsburgh dates to 1939. It features a lovely WPA era woodcut print representing the Pittsburgh coal industry titled "Coal Down the Allegheny", accompanied by the line "A Stern Wheeler Pushes Coal-Laden Barges Down the Allegheny to Pittsburgh."

I haven't been able to figure out the artist, but the signature reads Werneke or similar.

Menu Measures 9 x 12 Inches.
In Very Good to Excellent Vintage Condition.
