This listing pertains to an antique molded elaborately decorated ceramic pitcher by Gerbing & Stephan in Austria around the late 1800s. The form is unusual in that as of yet I haven’t seen another like it by G&St or otherwise. Gerbing & Stephan we’re known for high quality majolica pottery.

The pitcher stands about 9-1/4 inches tall.

There are several superficial chips in the glaze through various places in the pitcher. I’m not certain the the chips occurred as a result of poor storage, or are just due to the type of glaze used and aging. The glaze certainly appears to have shriveled and cracked in places. Please see photos and feel free to ask questions.
