The author Josef Leitgeb, a famous German/Austrian poet and writer, being a Wehrmacht officer with the rank of captain, published a novel in the form of notes about his stay in Ukraine in 1941-1942 as part of the army of the Third Reich. This very rare book «Am Rande Des Krieges/Aufzeich Nungen in der Ukraine” (English "On the brink of war/notes in Ukraine") by Josef Leitgeb, was published in 1942 by Otto Muler Verlag in Berlin. Perhaps the book was no longer published, or was published in a small print run, since I did not find this book in online stores and auctions. It is a first edition original hardcover book written in German, focusing on the topic of World War II and historical notes from Ukraine. The book provides insights into the region during a turbulent time and offers a unique perspective on the events leading up to the war. It is a valuable collectible for those interested in history, particularly the WWII era.
