CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN - UK 6 – BURWOOD – EXCELLENT CONDITION

A very fine pair of vintage Custom Grade full-brogue oxford shoes in sandalwood bookbinder leather from Church’s. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). These shoes have been refurbished by Church’s – so, new soles, heels, insoles and laces in this case – and are little worn since then (see photos).

In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.

But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!

The width fitting is ‘G’ – which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.

The style is ‘Burwood’ – an iconic full-brogue design and one of Church’s best known shoes. This pair were formed on the 81 Last. This classic design is still part of Church’s range today and they retail at around the £940 mark.

The shoes feature bookbinder leather uppers, full leather linings, leather soles and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
