This item belonged to my mother. It’s The Holy Scriptures published by what was then known as the Jewish Publication Society of America. It was presented to her in 1954 at her confirmation at Temple Beth Israel in Chicago, Illinois in 1954. She carried it at her wedding to my father in 1959. The marriage didn’t work out but my mom kept the Bible with her wedding handkerchief in it until the end of her days. The beautiful lace handkerchief is included. The box is in acceptable vintage condition and the book is in good vintage condition. Please see photos. The box measures in at 4 1/4 x 5 3/4”. The entire thing weighs 14 oz.
