The speakers use a 25mm MDF baffle board and a glass fiber woofer for low distortion in low frequencies. A 2.5cm silk dome tweeter enhances high-frequency sound reproduction. The alignment of the woofer and tweeter sound sources eliminates time lag, resulting in a clear sound image.

### Advanced Sound Technologies
The unit features a "honeycomb basement" to reduce internal vibrations and an "eccentric insulator" for external vibration absorption, ensuring stable sound quality. The FM antenna uses an F-type coaxial connector to minimize noise. The MD deck includes an ATRAC DSP for better high-frequency reproduction and a "sampling rate converter" for recording from various formats. A "digital REC level control" allows volume adjustment from -12dB to +12dB for consistent MD recordings.

### "MD Walkman Link" Compatibility
The device supports "MD Walkman Link" for synchronized recording from MD to MD when connected to compatible MD Walkmans released after October 1996. This includes track number and text information copying.

### PC Connection Kit Compatibility
Compatible with the "PCLK-PX1" PC connection kit, allowing operation and text input via a PC's GUI using a mouse and keyboard.

### Energy-Saving Design
The power-saving design uses a dedicated transformer for standby mode, reducing power consumption to 3 watts in normal standby and 1 watt with the display off.
