The Louis-juste brothers Seresier, Javier, and Joseph (1940-1989),- were born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. They learned the art form of "fer découpé" from the originator of Haitian metal arts, Georges Liautaud, in the 60s and were instrumental in passing it on to the next generation of Croix-des-Bouquets metal artists.
Joseph LOUISJUSTE is exhibited in such places as the Frost Museum and the Grand Palais, his works are also part of the permanent collections at the Huntington Museum of Art, the Lowe Museum, the Waterloo Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum and Le Centre d’Art.
