Wool Gathering

This primitive rug hooking kit involves a play on words. The expression "wool gathering" is hooked on top and bottom with hand-dyed wool. In the center is a "gathering of wool", three sheep, mostly of off the bolt wool. The background is hand-dyed and the border is a combination of hand-dyed and off the bolt wool. I've hand drawn the pattern on linen and carefully drawn the lines on the grain. The dimensions are approximately 15" x 11" when hooked and I have sewn the edges to keep them from fraying. When finished it makes a sweet wall hanging or table top, or can be made into a  pillow.
