Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant and natural pigment belonging to the carotenoid group of phytopigments. It is found in tomatoes and other red/pink fruits and vegetables.
It is a free radical scavenger and inhibits the production of free radicals. Lycopene repairs sun-damaged skin and protects the skin against UV rays. It promotes cell regeneration and collagen production, resulting in toned, firmer, and rejuvenated skin. It has also been documented to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
