Victor Reinz isn't a company that many people outside of the auto part profession know of but those who do know they are one of the premier gasket and seal companies in the world and and are OEMs to most car manufacturers including VW and Porsche!. VW has been using Reinz for as long as they've been making cars and continue to do so to this day because they know Reinz doesn't skimp on quality.
This gasket set is what you need if you're rebuilding or just resealing your air-cooled engine. It covers only the 1700cc Type 4 engines. Typically, these kits do NOT come with the front and rear crankshaft seals but we're including both in this listing (these will either be from Victor Reinz, Elring, or a combo of the two - both are OEMs to VW and Porsche and will usually be both made in Germany though Elring sometimes makes their seal in Italy). This kit includes almost everything you need to seal your engine right! This kit only includes seals for the engine itself - it doesn't come with gaskets for the carburetor or fuel injection or anything like that. But you do get the pushrod tube seals, intake and exhaust gaskets, cylinder to case gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil sump gaskets, oil cooler seals, flywheel seals, oil pump gaskets, and so on (and many Type 4 gaskets are only available in kit form so this is the place to get them).

1 x Part # 029105245B - Crankshaft seal (flywheel side) made by Reinz or Elring
1 x Part # 021105247A - Crankshaft seal (pulley side) made by Reinz or Elring

Bus 1972-1973 (only with the 1700cc T4 engine)

THIS KIT WILL ONLY FIT THE 2.0L ENGINE IF YOU HAVE ROUND EXHAUST PORTS - IT WILL NOT FIT THE 2.0L WITH SQUARE EXHAUST PORTS!!!
