ORIGINAL 1981 IRENE VALINCIUS (b 1949) MIXED MEDIA ABSTRACT PAINTING

This is a wonderful original.  I actually bought this painting with another work by Contemporary Boston artist Irene Valincius to hang in a certain room in my house.  Turns out they are just a touch too long for the wall I wanted so now I am offering them out on ebay.  For those not familiar with Valincius, I hve included her biography below.  Her work is really wonderful and in quite a few museums include the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Danforth Museum.  She has also been exhibited with other Abstract women artists including Helen Frankenthaler and Jo Sandman (check my store for the example of her work I am offering).  Many of her works are very large and part of what I loved about this one is the size.  Oil and beeswax on thick paper measuring 11 x 30 inches.  Outstanding as created condition.  Signed and dated lower left. Archivally floated and matted in beautiful frame that is ready hang.  Frame measures 18 3/4 x 37 3/4 inches.  If you collect the artist's work check my store for the other I am offering. For those not familiar with the artist his biography from a gallery that specializes in the artist's work reads: "Irene Valincius’ (b. 1949) work bridges mystical and physical realms. Born in West Germany and raised in the United States, Valincius has studied and taught at art schools throughout the Greater Boston area. When asked what her shimmering, orb-like compositions of beeswax and paint reference, Valincius responded: “God and lust,” suggesting a mystical connection between carnal pleasure and spiritual transcendence. "
