Vintage 1964 press photo measures 6 1/2" x 8" and pictures Sandy Koufax with his left arm on ice after sustaining his first arm injury on April 22, 1964 in the first inning during a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Koufax, in the prime of his career, would play only two more seasons. Looking back, as he played for only 12 seasons, one can wonder what would have been if not for this injury.
This photo is date stamped Apr 24 1964 on the back and is in very nice condition. This is a vintage photo from 1964, not a modern reproduction.
