【 About this Item 】
A reproduction poster faithfully replicating the original design from the 1974 theatrical release.
The 14th installment in the Godzilla series.
This poster is one of the "Complete Revival of All 28 Godzilla Films – Special Posters," created as a prize for a promotional campaign by Japanese convenience stores in 2004, commemorating the release of Godzilla: Final Wars.
Limited to just 1,000 sets, this collection is highly rare and increasingly sought after.
Details of the film.
Year of production: 1974
Director: Jun Fukuda
This film marks the 20th anniversary of Godzilla's debut. It was produced with the 1975 Okinawa International Ocean Exposition in mind, using Okinawa Island as a central setting. Other locations such as Mount Fuji and Gotemba City are also featured, contributing to the film's large scale.
In this installment, the robot monster Mechagodzilla, designed to resemble Godzilla, makes its first appearance. The Godzilla vs. Godzilla concept in this film represents a culmination of the monster battle format, and like King Ghidorah, introduced in the 10th film, Mechagodzilla became a recurring, powerful rival character in subsequent films. The introduction of a robot character was also influenced by the robot anime boom of the time.
【Shipping Method】
Items are usually shipped via airmail through the post office, with a tracking number provided. However, for high-value items or multiple purchases, we may use FedEx Express, which offers faster delivery and higher coverage.
【Common Post-Shipping Issues】
When shipping through the post office, there are often cases where the system integration between Japan Post and the postal service of the destination country does not work smoothly. On eBay, tracking data is synchronized with Japan Post, so the status may remain as "Awaiting Customs Clearance" without any updates. In reality, the package is progressing, but due to these system issues, the status does not change. You can obtain accurate tracking information by entering the tracking number on the destination country’s postal service website.
【Packaging Method】
To minimize the risk of damage during transit, purchased posters are packaged as follows:
・The rolled poster is placed in an OPP bag.
・The sides of the rolled poster are protected with cushioning material to prevent wrinkles or damage.
・The poster is placed in a sturdy cardboard tube. The tube we use is thicker than those commonly sold at hardware stores. While the standard tube thickness is 1mm, we use tubes that are 2mm thick. (Square cardboard boxes can be crushed when stacked or mishandled by couriers, but the cardboard tube we use ensures proper protection.)
・For valuable or rare posters, an additional outer box is used to further minimize the risk of damage.
