EDWARD GREEN VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN – UK 10 – EXCELLENT CONDITION

A very fine, vintage pair of cap-toe semi-brogue derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan calf leather from Edward Green. This pair were made for, and retailed by, R W Forsyth of Glasgow. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps, the odd surface mark here and there and a small (c 2 mm long) near the heel of the right shoe (see photos). Top quality leather in this colourway always develops a beautiful patina over time and this pair are doing very nicely indeed.

But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!

The width fitting is ‘D’ -  which is a ‘narrower-than-standard’ width fitting. This pair are off EG’s 133 Last.

The shoes feature leather soles (with rubber over-soles that were probably fitted from new), country calf leather uppers and full leather linings - plus all the hand-built quality that one expects from this top English shoemaker.
