THE TAU CROSS ~ is a T-shaped cross sometimes depicted with all three ends of the cross expanded outward. The first recorded reference to the TAU is from Ezekiel 9:4, "Go through the city of Jerusalem and put a TAU on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” It is called a Tau Cross because it is shaped like the Greek letter “TAU" which in upper-case has the same appearance as the Latin letter T. “TAU" is also the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet which also looks very much like the letter "T”. It was also referred to as the St. Anthony Cross, because of its association with Saint Anthony of Egypt, and also known as a "Crux Commissa” – one of the four basic types of iconographic representations of the Cross of Christ. However, it was most closely associated with the devotion of St. Francis of Assisi and therefore, the Franciscan Order. St. Francis himself used it affectionately as his signature and personal seal. During this time, the Tau Cross was a sign widely used by the Catholic Church as a sign of conversion and symbol of Christ’s Cross. Today, centuries later, it still remains widely recognized as a symbol of Franciscanism and its varying orders within those denominations. The TAU carries with it all of the symbolism of the Cross of Christ as well as St. Francis' ideal of life and dream for himself and his followers.

Since antiquity, people have revered the Jasper as the "supreme nurturer", aiding in consolation, comfort, tranquility, relaxation and peace of mind, and thereby ultimately, profound healing. Jasper also aids one to unblock stifled creativity, stimulate the imagination, promote inner clarity and manifest our imaginative ideas. Due to its ability to attract positive people into one's life, Jasper helps to support and encourage friendships, and guide one during relationship transitions.
BLACK ONYX ~ The benefits of this quartz gem includes aiding intuition, focus, balance, and affecting positive change for the good of one’s life. It is immensely powerful at deflecting – and at at times, absorbing – all negativity: negative relationships, negativity at work, worry, unhealthy habits and vices, and past dramas. As such, Black Onyx is a protection stone, protecting the wearer from the Evil Eye – the supernatural curse caused by jealousy or envy and cast to inflict harm to others. It is a warm, vibrant stone that boosts confidence and courage, as well as the power of true expression by reigniting your inner fire, your sense of passion, inner creativity and vitality. Carnelian crystal acts as an energetic spark to ignite your wildest dreams and propel you into action toward making them come true. Carnelian is believed to empower your self-confidence in all aspects of your life – relationships, professional pursuits, and personal projects thereby bringing motivation and determination to your endeavors and guiding you to recognize your self-worth. The ancient Egyptians referred to Carnelian as the “setting sun” and so to believed that it added a sense of vitality to the spirit and body, using it in King Tut’s pectorals and death mask. In Judaism, Carnelian is identified as the first of the twelve stones in the sacred judgmental breastplate of Aaron, the elder brother of Moses, and worn by only the highest of priests. Carnelian is also one of the twelve gemstones that lined the walls of heaven in Revelations. Metaphysically, Carnelian crystal is connected to our lowest three chakras. Its hot and fiery energy of passion stimulates the root chakra circulating vital energy up to the sacral center, which contains your deepest desires and powerful creative instincts. Your stretch bracelet is handcrafted to be strong and lasting, but the elastic, stones, and beads are not eternal. Likewise, almost all metal discolors over time. Therefore, gold and silver plating – known for its beauty and affordability – requires care. You can prolong the finish of your jewelry as well as the vibrancy of your gemstones by following these simple tips:
> DO NOT GET YOUR BRACELET WET ~ Keep your jewelry away from moisture. It is best to remove your bracelet before washing your hands, showering, exercising and swimming since contact with moisture can break down the elastic, ruin finishes and tarnish metals and charms.
> AVOID CONTACT WITH CHEMICALS ~ Perfume, soap, moisturizer, lotion, hand sanitizer or other chemicals can weaken the elastic, harm natural crystals and result in the discoloration and peeling of beads and gemstones. Be careful.
> AVOID HEAT EXPOSURE ~ Leaving your bracelet in sunlight or exposed to heat for an extended period of time may lead to elastic erosion and can cause beads and metal to discolor. Remove your bracelet while exercising.
> ROLL IT ON AND OFF ~ Do not over-stretch your bracelet! It has been made with pre-stretched elastic. Over-stretching it beyond its capacity will cause it to break. To keep from overly stretching it to put it on and off, slide your fingers into the bracelet first, then gently roll the beads over your knuckles and then onto your wrist. Do the same when taking your bracelet off.
> STORE SAFELY ~ Always store your jewelry safely in a soft pouch, soft cloth – or secure in a box or drawer – separate from other jewelry. Never wear your jewelry to bed and remove when sleeping. Use a soft microfiber cloth to polish.
