Ciao! I am the Crushed Calabrian Chili peppers, I grew up on the Calabrian hillsides where the sunny Mediterranean climate, the sea breeze and the naturally rich soil give me a unique aroma.
I am packed with Italian Extra Virgin Olive oil, unflower seed oil, vinegar, salt and fresh basil. These natural and fresh ingredients give me a depth of flavour, that everyone falls in love with! I am spicy, and fruity, a bit tangy, with a bright flavour and a hint of smokiness.
Am I spicy? Yes, I am! I am ranked at 35.000 to 40.000 Scoville heat units. To give you an idea, my Mexican cousin jalapeno is ranked between 2.500 and 8.000, while the habanero is ranked between 100.000 to 350.000. So I am perfect, spicy enough to add a kick to your cooking, while enriching and not convering their taste!
