Flaws include a small ding on the very bottom of the pot (see 2nd to last photo) and one spot at the top of the pot just above the handle that appears as though it was singed by something hot (see 3rd to last photo). The damaged area is the size of a fingertip.
Other imperfections include some rubbing of the gold on the pot's upper rim and on its handle (see 4th and 5th to last photos). There are two pencil point-sized dots of blue paint on the pot that are original to its production. Finally, there are a few light scratches on the outside of the golden handle.
The inside of the pot is in wonderful condition, minus a few dots of porcelain discoloration.
Its underside is marked J.P.L. France, and shows the patent number as well as the date that production of this particular design began. It also features the J Pouyat Limoges pink and green wreath.
