Introducing the UmbraVox, a new and unique word generator type device. It works different from most wordbanks, as it's not intended for spirits to interact with the device, they interact with you directly.
The UmbraVox continuously cycles through words, and YOU press the button on the front to choose the word. The idea is that spirits influence YOU to press the button and select the words that way.
In words mode for example, you can ask a question and wait until you feel compelled to press the button, revealing a response. There are 2,600 words in total.
The device has many useful modes. When you turn on the UmbraVox, it will cycle through the modes, you just click the button on the UmbraVox to select the mode. To switch modes, turn off the device and turn it back on.
This device takes 2x AAA batteries, which can be changed from the back. It’s a tiny palm held device, with a power switch, power LED, and an LCD screen.
This mode displays words from a preset list in response to touch input, with each new word pushing older ones down. The user can ask questions, allowing entities to select words by guiding when to touch the sensor. Words are displayed on the screen, and it’s recommended to record responses for interpretation later.
Similar to Word Mode, Typing Mode shows individual letters, building words with each sensor touch. It displays up to 18 letters, clearing the oldest once the screen fills. Typing Mode can create words and phrases for communication over longer sessions.
This mode displays emotion icons (similar to emojis) as entities respond to touch input. Each icon only displays while the sensor is held, clearing when released. Emotions Mode can indicate how a spirit may feel or felt about past events.
In this mode, entities can answer yes/no questions with words like "YES," "NO," "MAYBE," or "UNKNOWN" displayed after each sensor touch. The display shows the three most recent answers, making it suitable for straightforward question-and-answer sessions.
This mode cycles through a virtual deck of playing cards, with each touch showing a selected card on the display. Cards Mode can be useful for divination or cartomancy methods, as it mirrors elements of Tarot reading for additional insights.
Dots are added to the screen randomly while the sensor is touched, allowing users to interpret patterns similarly to cloud gazing. This mode is intended for impressionistic visuals, where users may perceive shapes or messages in the dot arrangements.
Sticks Mode adds stick figures or marks while the sensor is held, with each release stopping the display. The data only overwrites once cleared, and users can interpret patterns that emerge from the arrangement of sticks on the screen.
Letters are randomly displayed and may overwrite previous ones, allowing for dynamic messaging that users can interpret. Letters Mode allows continuous letter additions and pauses when the sensor is released, useful for gathering potential initials, words, or phrases.
Operating like Letters Mode, Numbers Mode displays numbers that may overwrite each other with each touch. Ideal for numeric questions (like dates or quantities), this mode encourages note-taking as sequences may disappear or change with each interaction.
