This is a set of 2 Rosenthal Studio-Linie, Paper Bag Vases designed by Tapio Wirkkala.

The bags are very realistic and feature deep wrinkles, creases, folds. These trompe l'oeil pieces are incredibly lifelike. The outsides are finished matte and the insides of the vases are finished in gloss.

These important pieces were designed by Tapio Wirkkala as part of his "Do Not Litter" series which Rosenthal Studio-line produced in the early 1970's in support of the environmentalist movement.

Both vases are in excellent condition.

The taller vase stands 6" inches tall and the shorter is 4" inches tall. Both have the raised "Rosenthal, studio-linie, Germany" bottom marks as well as the original quality control inspectors stickers.
