This striking 80+ year old cup and saucer set is hard to come by especially in near-mint condition such as this one. Made in England, and hand painted and finished with heavy gold details.  Each piece has the double warrant Paragon marks on the back, indicating it was produced in the 1940's. The tea cup diameter is 10 cm. (4 in.) and the height is 5.4 cm. (2-1/8 in.); overall the total width including handle is 12. 5 cm. (4-7/8 in.) and the total height to top of handle is 5.8 cm. (2-1/4 in.). The saucer measures 14 cm. (5-1/2 in.) at the widest - it varies because of the scalloped edge - and is 2.4 cm. (1 in.) high. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches, the colors are vibrant, there's no fading, and I don't see any gold loss. I have tried to show every surface of each piece, to present the exact condition including blemishes, so please look at all photos - they are from different angles, sides, and lighting conditions.
