Great letter to Sandy, Bedfordshire England from Royal Marine. Excellent 12 page letter with colour on life in Darwin, Northern Territory. Includes, "too many Chinese to suit me, we went a few miles into the bush and saw any amount of kangaroo's and alligators, our officers amuse themselves by shooting them: the natives are cannibals- they have been known to kill white people and eat them, they are partial to Chinamen - they say they are more tender than Englishmen". Sent in Sydney Feb 17th 1894 and arrived Sandy 25th March 1894.
