Vehicle Fitment

  • 2011–2014 Ford Mustang GT (5.0L Coyote V8; All Transmission Types)

Fitment Notes

  • 5.0L Coyote V8 engine only — does not fit the V6 or Shelby GT500 variants in the 2011–2014 Mustang lineup
  • Muffler delete design — no mufflers are included; straight delete pipes replace both factory mufflers completely, producing an extremely loud and aggressive exhaust note. This system is intentionally designed for maximum volume and is not suitable for daily commuting where noise levels are a concern
  • Dual tips are flush-fit with the factory rear bumper valence cutouts — no cutting or bumper modification required
  • Black powder coating on the tailpipes and tips is warranted for 1 year against factory defects; all remaining exhaust components carry a 3-year warranty
  • Black coating is best suited for dry climates — aluminized steel base material is not recommended for heavy snow-belt or high-salt environments

Features

  • Race Profile muffler delete delivers the most extreme, unbaffled exhaust note available from MBRP for the S197 Mustang GT — with no muffler, packing, or sound deadening of any kind, the 5.0L Coyote V8 is completely uncorked for maximum aggression and maximum exhaust flow
  • Axle-back design replaces only the factory mufflers and tailpipes rearward of the rear axle — no modification to the mid-pipe, resonator, or catalytic converter required, preserving all forward exhaust components
  • Dual rear exit routes both tips through the factory bumper valence cutouts, maintaining the stock-appearing dual-outlet layout while dramatically transforming the sound and appearance with blacked-out 4-inch tips
  • Black-coated T304 stainless steel dual-wall 4-inch angle-cut tips are flush-fit with the S197 rear valence openings — purpose-built for the murdered-out aesthetic without any bumper cutting or modification
  • High-heat black powder-coated tailpipes and tips complete the blacked-out appearance — the Armor BLK finish eliminates any bright or polished hardware for a fully stealthy rear-end presentation
  • 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminized steel tubing eliminates virtually all backpressure, maximizing exhaust velocity and delivering the highest possible flow numbers available in an axle-back configuration for this platform
  • Direct bolt-on to OEM factory hanger locations — no welding, cutting, or drilling required; installation can typically be completed in under one hour with basic hand tools
  • Backed by MBRP's split warranty: 1-Year on black powder coating, 3-Year on all exhaust components

Product Description

The MBRP S7203BLK is a 3-inch Armor BLK axle-back muffler delete exhaust system engineered for the 2011–2014 Ford Mustang GT equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. As a muffler delete system, it removes both factory mufflers entirely and replaces them with straight delete pipes — there is no muffler, no packing, and no sound deadening of any kind. This is intentionally the loudest, most uninhibited exhaust configuration available from MBRP for the S197 Mustang GT. The Coyote V8's full exhaust character is completely released under acceleration, producing a head-turning, track-intensity exhaust note that is not suited for environments where vehicle noise levels need to be kept in check. Buyers who want performance exhaust sound with some sound management should consider MBRP's muffled axle-back options instead.

The Armor BLK finish applies a high-heat black powder coating to the tailpipes and tips, delivering the fully murdered-out look that makes the S7203BLK the natural pairing for blacked-out S197 builds. Both exits are capped with black-coated T304 stainless steel 4-inch dual-wall angle-cut tips that are specifically dimensioned to sit flush with the factory rear bumper valence cutouts — no cutting or bumper modification is required. The 3-inch straight delete pipes eliminate virtually all exhaust backpressure, providing the maximum possible flow improvement in an axle-back configuration and making the S7203BLK a natural foundation for further engine and intake upgrades.

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process using the factory OEM hanger locations, requiring no welding, cutting, or specialized tools — most owners complete the install in under an hour. The system fits all 2011–2014 Mustang GT models with the 5.0L V8 and is not compatible with the V6 or Shelby GT500 variants. The black powder coating carries a 1-year warranty against factory defects, while all exhaust components are covered under MBRP's 3-year warranty. Aluminized steel is best suited for dry climates; owners in high-salt or snow-belt regions should consider the T304 stainless steel variant for improved long-term corrosion protection.
