Original, postcard-sized, medium format 3.25 x 5.5" film negative. Photographed at Philadelphia PA in 1941 by the documentary photographer Charles Medin. The current Fairmont Dam was built in 1928. What looks like a railroad is seen at far left. Boathouse row is seen at far right. 

Charles Medin was artist/photographer and then assistant editor of the Illinois Central Magazine, circa 1900s to 1949. His images are well-known to railfans as he documented railroads and city street scenes across the Eastern & Southern states.
