This is as much for collectors as it is for actual folks wanting to use it on a regular basis.  The fiberglass pole extends from 4'3" to 12'.  It could certainly be used almost like a can pole for light weight fish just to pull up and sling over to the shore.  THE STRING ON THIS ROD IS DESIGNED TO BE PUT THROUGH THE POLE, NOT THROUGH HOOPS/EYES ATTACHED TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE ROD.  It's a unique vintage rod and I really hope it goes to someone who will value it and have fun with it.  Cheers.
