Traditional 19C French textile, hand block indiennes style pattern 

red, taupe & grey picotage quilted fabric, hand stitched furnishing cotton with slim wadding; piping cotton braid around top and the scalloped edge at bottom / raw edge on one side, the main fabric is also used to the bottom quarter of the back, the remaining top section is a faded blue pastel floral toile

This lovely and rare piece has been cut from a larger French 19C bedding set / home decor, antique textile / decorative antique

in good vintage condition for its age, some loss of wadding; a few small holes and tears, mostly at the back; some fraying and light pale marks to the lining; general wear
