Each year the Royal Canadian mint puts out a prooflike set.  This 7 coin set is the special edition 2005 PL set. Instead of the 50 cent coin, an extra 25 cent coin has been added.  The two quarters each mark the centennial of the provinces of AB and SK who joined the Canadian confederation in 1905. 

There IS a P mint mark on the obverse of 5 of the coins--but not on the loonie or twoonie.  This P mark was placed on the coins because the mint developed a multi-ply plated steel planchet (coin blank) that it started using this year. Up to and including the year 2000 the PL sets included some coins that were minted in 100% nickel.
