A brand new cable (New Design) for data connection between a SpectraMax plate reader (all old modes such as SpectraMax 190, 250, 340PC, plus 384, Gemini, GEMINI XS, Gemini EM, M2, M3, M5, M5e, etc), using a 8 pin mini DIN male connector) and a PC's USB port. Setup instructions and drivers are provided on Google drive via a shared linker. If you are out of USA and need a CD, please specify your need when ordering.

Old SpectraMax plate readers communicated with a PC via RS232 DB9 port. Laptop computers may not have any serial port and a USB port has to be used. Commonly available USB to 8 Pin Mini Din Male Serial Adapters do not work for plate readers as those adapter cables are for peripherals (like printer and musical instrument connection) to PC.
It works on SpectraMax plate readers (Absorbance, fluorescence, and multimode).
