COVER The void spaces between sheets of titanium carbide MXene
films are effectively reduced by the infusion of liquid metal and
bacterial cellulose. Cycles of blade coating orient the MXene sheets
(red) that adhere through coordination bonds to the liquid metal
(silver) and through hydrogen bonds to the cellulose. This improves the
stress-transfer efficiency between the compacted, aligned MXene sheets
to give a high-performance film.
