The Vello Infrared Remote Control for Multiple Cameras is a pocket-size infrared remote control that lets you trigger select Olympus, Sony, Nikon, Pentax and Canon cameras wirelessly from up to 15' away. With your camera in remote triggering mode, the IR-M trips the shutter by simply pressing the "S" button while aiming it at your camera.

Besides shutter release capability with all of the cameras mentioned above, each brand, with the exception of Nikon has other specific remote capabilities. The IR-M offers select Olympus cameras wide to telephoto zoom, video on/off and playback/rewind ability. The IR-M can control remote video on/off, shutter release and 2 a second delay option on select Sony cameras. The delay allows vibration to subside when shooting on a tripod. Select Pentax cameras are capable of remote lens zooming, and video on/off, as are Canon DC DSLRs. Finally, the IR-M can control video on/off and 2 second delay triggering on select Canon SLRs and DSLRs.
