Description
This is a vintage item.
A flower vase designed by Shiro Kuramata in 1989.
The purple aluminum tubes trapped inside the blocks have peeled off over time, and the paint has peeled off, reminiscent of the Japanese culture of wabi-sabi. It further highlights the ambiguous boundaries.
"Wabi" refers to the feeling that modest and simple things have charm. On the other hand, "sabi" refers to the beauty that appears over time.
This item is still on sale, but the old factory (now closed) made it differently, and the old one has a stronger presence.
The glass test tubes are removable, so they are easy to clean.
[Note] The test tubes are not shown in the photo, but they are included, so please rest assured.
