    How to replace Oxygen Sensor O2 Lambda ProbeStep 1: Let the engine cool before attempting to remove a sensorStep 2: Jack up the vehicle if you need to reach a sensor under itStep 3: Locate the oxygen sensor underneath the hood or vehicleStep 4: Disconnect the electrical connection to the oxygen sensorStep 5: Spray some penetrating oil onto the sensor to loosen itStep 6: Unscrew the oxygen sensor using a ratchet wrenchStep 7: Select a new oxygen sensor that is the same as the old oneStep 8: Add a small amount of anti-seize to the new sensorStep 9: Turn the sensor clockwise to secure it on the exhaust lineStep 10: Plug the electrical connector back into the vehicleStep 11: Start the car to see if the problem is fixed
