- Spring Strut / Channel nuts provides a secure anchor point in cable, tray and pipe support systems and other applications where are rectangular nut is required. Simply insert the nut into the trough of the channel, twist into position so that the grooves are aligned with the internal edges of the strut. Threading and tightening a screw into the hole causes teeth located in the grooves to bite into the channel edge, positively locking the nut in place so it can’t slip
