You will receive 50 apple snail shells that are 1.” wide measured from the back of the shell, with the spiral facing towards you, to the tip of the front of the shell. Around 50%-60% of all our shells are at least 2” wide.

Other people may have a different way to measure, but they will be measured the same way I’ve done it since I received a request from a customer for shells 1.0” & up based upon the current measuring method used. If you have any questions, or if you would like to see an example of the shells’ size, please let me know.

You will receive 50 UNCLEANED & UNPOLISHED shells.

WE DO NOT SELL ANY TYPE OF LIVE SNAILS! We only have the empty, uncleaned shells as shown in the pictures.

you will receive a variety of different sizes from small to jumbo. All will be at least 1.0" wide, with some reaching over 4” wide.

Blue, orange, purple, white, blue stripes, greenish brown, and several other odd colorations. They are all different in color, each one having its own unique color.

Some have two or even 3 variations of colors on the shell, from 1/2 being in the mud & the other 1/2 being exposed to the sun, very unique. If you would like to see more pictures of the raw Uncleaned shells just let me know.

If you’re interested in buying uncleaned and/or finely hand polished shells, in large or smaller quantities, just let me know. I can set up a new auction for however many shells of each type you would like to purchase.

Unfortunately these are always filled after orders are made to keep the inventory the same and to allow new shells time to set in clean water and in the dark to kill the algae that grows from sunlight. They will also need a day to dry in the sun. This keeps them strong and doesn't allow them to get brittle from the elements.
