"Hefty spec; good looks and build; exciting, detailed pictures and relatively burly sound", "Blu-ray images are crisp and detailed, with a brilliantly judged colour palette, impressive skintones and solid motion-tracking". "Upscaled DVD pictures are stable and secure, with impressive edge definition", "At this price, and with this spec, there's no reason not to buy the BDP-S570 even if you're no interest in 3D movies at all".
"Market-leading sound and pictures".
"The Sony BDP-S570 undercuts all of its rivals for price, offers the most convincing 3D pictures, beats non-3D rivals in the 2D stakes, sounds superb, and loads discs remarkably quickly".
"The S570's recipe for success is simple: it takes a BDP-S370, and then adds in 3D disc playback, 1GB of internal memory plus 802.11n-enabled wi-fi - all features missing from the cheaper deck", "In fact, it's appealing enough to make this the best all-round buy in the Blu-ray category whether you currently own a 3D TV or not". |
