It contains the Hebrew text of the traditional blessing and supplication recited upon lighting the Sabbath candles.  The text is surrounded by a beautiful motif containing old time Jerusalem buildings as well as birds and branches.

Stands alone or can be hung on the wall.

I suspect that this is silver-plate, not sterling silver.

There is some permanent discoloration and erasure of text. Please see pictures.
