GLC (Gym Leader Challenge) is an alternate format in the Pokemon TCG. It follows all traditional rules of the Pokemon TCG, but introduces 3 major restrictions that add insane depth to the format.

1. All Pokemon and cards (excluding basic energies) must follow the singleton rule. Meaning you can only play 1 copy of each card in your deck.

2. All Pokemon must share a type. Hence the Gym Leader aspect of the format.

3. All Pokemon must be single prize Pokemon with no rule box. So you won't find any Pokemon EX, GX, V, Prism Stars, etc.
