I AM NOT SELLING A MODEL, only a new, full-size copy of a CESSNA 310A UC PLAN, construction article + BONUS scale documentation to build your own twin engine scale model.
Here is Pop’s personal experience with this plane:
“The CESSNA 310A was my favorite twin to fly in the U.S. Army. As our Commanding General's pilot, I got to fly all over the U.S. and see God's green earth from 10,000 feet. However, on one flight we took off from an Oakland, CA overhaul depot and headed over the Rockies to get back home to Ft. Meade, MD. At 14,000' our oxygen failed and we had to descend and fly low down through the valleys into Utah. What an outstandingly magnificent trip that was!”
“In the
split photo I show how our U-3 Air Force 'Blue Canoe" looked
when I picked it up at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1975 before taking it to
Oakland for a complete overhaul. The next picture shows me on the wing
after it was painted in Army OD and white colors. The last
picture is of me in front of a U-8 Twin Beech. It was another of our
executive aircraft.”
In September, 1956, a magazine published a 36" span, u-control scale
model PLAN of
this Cessna executive twin. The model calls for 2 .15 size engines. The
pictures of a model made from those PLANS were
sent by an eBay customer who was kind enough to let me use them in this
listing. The model shown with 2 Fox .15s in it is not for sale.
I have a very large packet of original documents for the CESSNA 310A model and actual airplane. As a BONUS I include copies of a large cutaway drawing and scale documentation. You’ll not find a more thorough offering.
I also have the Air Trails plans for the Twin Beech Bonanza mentioned above.
YOU ARE BUYING A NEW, FULL-SIZE COPY OF A CESSNA 310 PLAN, CONSTRUCTION ARTICLE, + BONUS SCALE DOCUMENTATION, FOLDED AND IN A MANILA ENVELOPE.
