Description 

Due to the popularity of my 18650 battery adapters (please check out my other auctions) I've received several requests to develop an adapter kit to be used with 26650 cells.  In this listing, I've designed a kit to accommodate (3) 26650 cells to be used as a replacement of 4 D size alkaline cells. In the process of designing the adapter I took into account the stock bulb designed for 6.0 volts may need to be replaced to accommodate the 12.6volts of the (3) 26650 batteries. Thankfully, recent advancements in LED technology provided a solution in the form of a 3watt 200 lumen bulb replacement which can be used with a broad input voltage of between 6-24volts. The combination of the Li-Ion batteries and the new LED bulb has created a conversion kit which lightens your flashlight while providing a brighter light and giving you the ability to recharge your batteries. I offer the kit with and without the LED as some customers may want to supply their own.

The conversion kit consists of: 

• Qty (3) 26650 adapters 
• Qty (1) Negative terminal adapter 
• Qty (1) 3 watt LED P13.5S Bulb (optional)

Instructions for Use 

1. Remove the alkaline D-cells in your flashlight and properly dispose of them 
2. Ensure your 26650 Li-Ion batteries are fully charge and install them into the adapters with the positive terminal contacting the brass screw inside the adapter 
3. On one of the adapters, install the Negative terminal adapter over the negative end of the 26650 battery 
4. Install the one adapter without the Negative terminal adapter first. 
5. Follow the first adapter with the second adapter which has the Negative terminal adapter installed. This should contact the negative terminal spring of the flashlight body. 
6. Replace the incandescent bulb with the supplied LED bulb

• The supplied LED bulb is compatible with P13.5 lamp base.  Be sure your flashlight uses this bulb before ordering. Newer Maglites which come with a Xeon or LED bulb from the factory will not be compatible with the LED I supply here.
• As mentioned, the bulb is designed to operate for voltages between 6-24v.  The output of (3) 26650 batteries this kit is design for is 12.6 volts, well within the range of the supplied bulb. If you choose NOT to use the supply bulb in flashlight applications, make sure your bulb can handle the extra voltage.  In addition, if the adapter is used in non-flashlight applications, make sure your device can operate at the higher voltages above (4) D-cell alkaline batteries putting out 6.0 volts.
  
• When your 26650 battery requires charging, it must be removed from the adapters. 
• As this is a 3D printed part, there may be some slight blemishes due to the printing process. This in no way weakens or affects the functionality of the adapter. Also, the color may vary between the black (as depicted in photos) or silver due to availability. If you have a specific preference between the two colors please let me know as I can accommodate, although it may take additional time. 

The positive contact of the adapter is solid brass and the negative contact is the actual battery protruding 0.5" from the back of the adapter. This protrusion allows easy access to the battery when it needs to be removed from the adapter.
