The Soviet 2J27L (2Ж27Л) is a vintage, military-grade direct-heated pentode that has become highly sought after for upgrading modern Chinese tube preamplifiers (such as the early revisions of the Nobsound E6). Audiophiles choose these genuine Soviet "New Old Stock" (NOS) tubes to replace standard Chinese stock tubes because they deliver a much cleaner, more dynamic sound, lower the background noise floor, and offer superior reliability.

Note for Audiophiles: Due to its protective military aluminum shell, installing the 2J27L into compact Chinese preamps like the Nobsound E6 requires safely removing ("decanning") the aluminum outer sleeve to expose the inner glass bulb.

IMPORTANT WARNING: Before purchasing or installing these tubes, please verify your amplifier's specifications. The Soviet 2Ж27Л requires a 2.2V filament circuit. It is NOT compatible with newer 12V amplifier revisions. Installing these into a 12V socket will instantly burn out the filament.
